ADJUSTED EXPOSURE (2019)

“Adjusted Exposure” champions the unearthing of our truest selves in the face of the inevitable resistance, judgment and rejection that any truth bears. The dancers investigate what it means to function collectively from a place of being, instead of doing. The piece builds an atmosphere that is void of the fixed roles, hierarchies, and quantifiable ambitions that shape society on a macro level. The energetic subtleties of the dancers weave into one formless entity. The collective facilitates an overarching intention that varies slightly each time the piece is shared, as real-time decision-making and thoughtful response takes place.

This is the second rendition of the work, restaged on five men for the Moving Men series at Dixon Place.
